Additional Information
Using the ancient art of Keum Boo and patterned rolling mill papers, we’ll create our own rustic silver “cabochon” dressed up in gold and subtle texture. Then we’ll build a dramatic multi-prong setting, including hand fabricated “leaf” forms for interest. Plus, the back of the pendant will include a functional pin stem assembly (built from scratch, of course!) that converts to a hidden bail, making this a piece that can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch!
Students will Learn:
Students will learn roll printing; Keum Boo; fabricating a prong setting and leaf embellishments; securing half-drilled pearls; and creating a pin back that converts to a bail.
