Description:
This class has been designed for the student that would like to learn traditional wire wrap design techniques using square and half round wire. You will make a traditional wire wrapped bracelet and earrings to match.
Students will Learn:
Learn to twist square wire and use half round wire to bind your wires together. You will learn a technique that is used to create curved surfaces on multiple wires then fit those wires together for more wrapping. You will also learn to create a hinged hook for your bracelet.
Prerequisites:
Experience working with jewelry tools is helpful, but not necessary.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Magnifiers, reading glasses, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
Sterling silver and Gold Filled wire (square), gold-filled wire (half-round), use of instructor’s tools during class, tape, step-by-step tutorial with photographs.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
