Description:
Learn the basics of fused glass to make jewelry-sized cabochons, including the use of frit and stringer, dichroics, layering, and tack fusing. Students will need to pick up pieces after firing.
Students will Learn:
Learn techniques of cutting glass and layering; planning designs; science behind fusible glass; working with dichroic glass. Learn proper firing methods and schedules for desired results.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Writing materials.
Materials in Kit:
Stringers and frits, adhesives, choices of lots of pieces of glass, specific firing instructions, use of all tools needed to complete the project in class, firing services, written instructions.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
