Additional Information
Description:
Bring a slice from a cut tree branch left outside to weather or use one of mine. Students will make a reusable mold and use the mold to form their earrings. Donna still has the original mold from these if anyone wants to use it. Students will gypsy-set a few sparklers to enhance their dangles and also make their own earring wires. There is a way to make them easily with only a pliers and a pen or pencil. Donna usually uses a fine-point Sharpie.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to make a reusable mold from an organic object and form metal clay so both earrings weigh the same; also learn how to gypsy-set cubic zirconia which will be fired right in their earrings. While the earrings fire students will make their earring wires. Patina and polish, and a little zap on the surface for a sparkly illusion to enhance your stones and you are done.
