Description:
Students will use a real sand dollar very carefully as a model to create a gorgeous organic silver pendant. This pendant is an easy introduction to PMC.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to make a reusable mold from a real sand dollar. Students will create their piece and add an invisible bail on the back; how to use patina to bring out detail and polish to enhance their little part of the ocean.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Magnifiers, needle tool, paintbrush (fine), tweezers, 6 playing cards, pink emery board. Optional: 20 to 22-in. silver chain rather than the 18-in. black rubber cord included in the kit.
Materials in Kit:
PMC, mold making material,18-in. black rubber cord, firing services, patina materials, use of real sand dollar, stainless bowl, work surface, assorted tools to share in class, Lil Bella humidifier.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
