Description:
Love the look of Czech glass and vintage buttons, but aren’t sure how to use them? Maria will teach you her method to create a beautiful wire-woven bezel around an amazing button completed with a bail that will accommodate a chain, cord or ribbon.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to use figure-8 weave to create a bezel for a button; embellishment and finishing techniques to make a unique pendant.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, small hammer.
Pliers:
Chainnose, flush side-cutting, nylon-jaw wire straightener, roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Czech glass button; 18-, 26-gauge copper wire; 24-gauge head pins; accessory beads if desired; liver of sulfur; wooden mandrels; polishing pads.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
