Additional Information
Multi-hole beads are the name of the game these days. Learn how to turn the new QuarterTila beads into stylish and stunning beaded beads. Students will learn how to make three different shapes of beads and then combine them in whatever order they choose. Coordinating accent beads finish of this classy necklace. Once you get the hang of this technique you will be covering everything with QuarterTilas.
Students will Learn:
Learn an innovative variation on peyote stitch that creates two rows at once; learn how to manipulate this strip into a beaded bead. Multiple bead variations will be discussed as well.
Students should have previous bead weaving experience. Familiarity with peyote stitch and right-angle weave are helpful.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#12 beading needles, beading mat, beading wax, Fireline 6 lb. test, flush-cut wire cutters, microcrystalline wax, scissors, task lamp, lighter (the instructor will have extras available for use in class).
Materials in Kit:
25 mm wood bead; 16 mm wood beads (2); 15 x 5 mm wood beads (4); 6 mm accent beads in two colors; 8/0, 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; sterling silver crimp beads; crimp covers; wire guards; box clasp; Soft Flex beading wire; QuarterTila beads.
One seat per person per class.
