Description:
Stitch a deliciously flamboyant and extravagant Swarovski jewel-centered necklace.
Students will Learn:
How to bezel a large and small Swarovski crystal pear using peyote with decreasing stitches; make one or more of the Phoenix wings using Russian Leaf stitch; begin to make the necklace strand using a combination of peyote stitch and herringbone; learn how to assemble the whole piece.
Prerequisites:
Students should be able to hold a medium tension in peyote stitch; should know how to fasten off threads. If they have learned beading only via YouTube they need to practice beading from written instructions with diagrams/photos.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Assorted beading needles, beading mat, beading thread, paper, pen, reading glasses, scissors, sticky notes, task lamp. Students can use the thread of their preference though if using Fireline it should be 4 lb. test (bring crystal and smoke).
Materials in Kit:
Miyuki 10/0, 11/0, 15/0 Delicas; Miyuki 8/0, 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; Miyuki 10/0 triangles; 30 x 20 mm Swarovski crystal pear; 14 x 10 mm Swarovski crystal pear; 3 mm Swarovski bicones.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
