Description:
Create a beautifully detailed raised beaded cuff bracelet featuring an older traditional Woodlands Native motifs using micro seed beads to create an intricate-looking design. This design looks wonderful worn alone or stacked with other cuffs. Width of cuff is 1/2”. Workshop participants will learn how to use deer hide to create a fabulous and elegant cuff closure. Traditional Native teachings will be part of the learning experience.
Students will Learn:
Raised or embossed beading methods using 13/0 micro seed beads will be explored along with how to make quick and easy tubular peyote with size 11/0 seed beads. The combination of bead embroidery, peyote and simple leatherwork creates an elegant and effective finished piece.
Prerequisites:
Comfortable working with 13/0 seed beads.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.

6-in. ruler, beading mat, fine-tip marker, paper, pen, pencils, scissors

Velvet foundation, brass slider beads, brass embellishments, 13/0 white beads, 13/0 AB crystal seed beads, 13/0 alabaster pearl seed beads, 11/0 AB white seed beads, 12/0 short beading needle, deer hide lace, deer hide pieces.
