Description:
Create a beautiful bimetal bracelet and increase your metalsmithing skills as you learn to make this sterling hinge bangle with stunning textured brass and gallery set cabochon swing-top clasp.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to use readily available jewelry components to create a one-of-a-kind bracelet while developing skills in soldering, texturing metal, stone setting, patina, and professional finishing techniques.
Prerequisites:
Soldering experience helpful.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, hammer, metal files, paper, pencils, safety glasses, terry-cloth towel, wire snips, wooden dapping block, scribe, curved metal burnisher, mallet, goldsmith’s hammer. Optional: Dimple pliers, metal stamps.
Pliers:
Needlenose, roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Brass disk, gallery bezel cup, cabochon, jump rings, sterling silver bracelet base, sandpaper, polishing cloth, instructions,studio consumables including pickle, flux, solder, butane, patina.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
