Description:
This is a great beginner soldering class. Students will learn how to make a delightful little ring out of sterling silver wire. Then you will sweat solder a little bezel cup on top of the ring and set a stone in it, for a thoroughly adorable ring. Then you will do it again and again.
Students will Learn:
How to solder, forge and finish sterling silver wire to make a ring; how to sweat solder a bezel cup and set a stone.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, steel ring mandrel, fine-point Sharpie, heavy duty cutters, rawhide or nylon hammer. Optional: Mitre vise, half-round parallel pliers, bezel setting tools. Instructors will bring these tools to share in class.
Materials in Kit:
Sterling silver wire, fine-silver bezel cups, selection of cabochons, consumables used in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
