Additional Information
This is a perfect introduction to soldering -- students will learn to solder sterling, copper, brass, and even 14k gold-filled wire to make these awesome little stacking rings. But soldering is just the start -- you will also learn how to shape, forge, and texture them, as well as tips and tricks for sizing rings.
Students will Learn:
How to solder a range of metals; how to shape, forge, fit, and finish rings.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, steel ring mandrel, heavy duty wire cutters, fine-point Sharpie, chasing hammer, rawhide or nylon hammer. Optional: Texturing hammers, mitre vise, half-round parallel pliers. Instructors will bring these tools to share in class.
Materials in Kit:
Sterling silver wire, copper wire, brass wire, consumables used in class.
One seat per person per class.
