Explore a grout-free, stitch-free mosaic technique to embed seed beads into an open-back bezel you make yourself! Learn an easy way to complete the pendant with supple leather cord to create an adjustable necklace with a couple of quick knots.
Students will Learn:
Students will receive an overview of color theory and learn how to make their own open-back bezel with thick-gauge aluminum wire. Jill shows you how to work with two-part modeling compound, and demonstrates time-saving techniques for positioning seed beads in rows and around corners. Students will learn how to attach leather cord to their pendant to make an adjustable necklace.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Beading mat, flush-cut wire cutters, task lamp, writing materials, fine-tipped tweezers, bead scoop.
Materials in Kit:
12-gauge Parawire aluminum wire, 2-part Apoxie Sculpt, leather cord, flexible beading wire, nitrile gloves, wooden picks, parchment paper, plastic lock-top bags, use of instructor’s vast seed bead stash in class, consumables, instructions. Portions of this kit are underwritten by Parawire and Apoxie Sculpt.
One seat per person per class.
