Additional Information
Craft this gorgeous deluxe miniature chandelier in this exciting two-day class. The first day is devoted to learning and practicing at least five different shapes for your miniature chandelier. You will use both clear and colored borosilicate tubing. The second day you will refine your shapes and start to assemble or you may choose to assemble at home and spend the entire day making more shapes. A stand for assembly is provided to enhance your project. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Students will Learn:
Learn many techniques to make miniature chandelier shapes, and refine glass skills.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Didymium glasses, metal soup can, personal lampworking tools, striker or matches, tweezers, carbide glass or tubing cutter.
Long needlenose.
Materials in Kit:
Clear borosilicate rod, clear borosilicate tubing, colored borosilicate tubing, miniature chandelier stand.
One seat per person per class.
