Additional Information
Learn various techniques to create this Chihuly-like miniature chandelier in this one-day class. You will learn how to make several different shapes to go into this beautiful miniature chandelier. You may choose to spend the entire day making sculptural shapes and assemble at home, or stop mid-afternoon to assemble -- the choice is yours. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to make a minimum of three shapes to sculpt their miniature chandelier.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Didymium glasses, disposable small bread pan, metal soup can, personal lampworking tools, striker or matches, tweezers, carbide glass or tubing cutter.
Long needlenose.
Materials in Kit:
Clear borosilicate tubing, colored borosilicate tubing, assembly materials, clear borosilicate rod.
One seat per person per class.
