Description:
This unique cuff with vigorous swirling motifs was inspired by Gustav Klimt’s iconic painting “Tree of Life”. Swirls are depicted in soutache embroidery techniques using gold braid. This class is taught by a Japanese instructor with a translator.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to frame the focal bead in peyote stitch; how to manipulate soutache and beads into a swirling shape.
Prerequisites:
Working knowledge of peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, magnifiers, scissors, tape measure, task lamp, fabric shears.
Materials in Kit:
Toho seed beads, assorted Swarovski crystals, soutache, beading foundation, imitation leather backing, beading thread.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
