Description:
Learn how to pull even points from a tube of glass and then blow the point into a hollow form. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Students will Learn:
Using borosilicate glass; learn how to pull proper points, blow rounded and elliptical forms, add decoration within the glass, finish off with hooks for hanging.
Prerequisites:
Experience working with borosilicate glass.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Didymium glasses, personal lampworking tools, metal soup can, writing materials.
Materials in Kit:
Borosilicate tubing, rod.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
