Description:
This gold butterfly brooch is a mix of techniques. It requires traditional needle embroidery and Tambour embroidery. You will use a mix of beads, crystals, and metallic goldwork threads. This piece is very unique and fun to work.
Students will Learn:
How to work sequins in a “river method” with Luneville crochet; use metallic threads for goldwork embroidery; create jewelry out of a Luneville embroidery applique; the knot stitch and the backing methods for textile Tambour beading designs.
Prerequisites:
Experience with Luneville crochet, however can be adapted to a beginner.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, beading thread, E6000 adhesive, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
Organza fabric, crystals, beads, Mouline thread, metallic threads, backing material, sequins.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
