Additional Information
Using copper and silver, students will learn a variety of fusing techniques and reticulation processes. There will be a variety of patinas to use creating amazing results. Students will also learn how to cold connect in a variety of ways using eyelets, stitching, ties, brads, and an easy approach to rivets. You will create many pieces that are very creative, unique, and spontaneous and can be used for necklaces, broaches, and earrings. This class is fun and fast-paced .
Students will Learn:
Learn how to fuse silver to copper and reticulation of silver; how to use a variety of patinas; cold connections, including rivets, eyelets, brads, ties, and weaving; design and layering techniques.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Anvil pillow, ball-peen hammer, bench block, pen, safety glasses, tin snips, wire snips, writing materials.
Bentnose, flush end-cutting, long needlenose.
Materials in Kit:
Silver sheeting, copper sheeting, patinas, findings, beads, embellishments.
One seat per person per class.
