Additional Information
Students will learn a variety of unique surface finishes using patinas, embossing, and colored pencils. A variety of bezels and cold connections will be used instead of soldering to connect and create the pieces. Students will use copper and silver sheet metal to create their designs and make earrings, necklaces, brooches or bracelets. Students will be able to finish at least one piece or create many samples to use later. This class is fun and fast-paced with easy techniques to master.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to use colored pencils, a variety of patinas, and embossing on metal to create one-of-a-kind work. Easy bezels and cold connections will be mastered during class. Rivets, bezeling, eyelets, brads, and stitching will also be used to create, design, and connect the work.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Anvil pillow, ball-peen hammer, bench block, flush-cut wire cutters, paper, pen, safety glasses, wire snips, writing materials, metal scissors.
Long needlenose.
Materials in Kit:
Silver, copper sheeting; findings; embellishments; beads; variety of wires, embossing supplies, colored pencils, patinas, and cold connections for use in class.
One seat per person per class.
