Description:
The sparkle of the Arabian Nights comes together in this statement making bracelet. Use new back-lit GemDuo beads and luscious cabochons with bead embroidery and bead weaving techniques. Several different stitches come together during this process.
Students will Learn:
How to use bead weaving to create the base and stack beaded units to create height and dimension. Stitches also include peyote stitch, stitching in the ditch, two-bead stitch, stop stitch, and beaded edging. Learn how to attach backer material and a clasp. Step-by-step instructions and diagrams will guide you through to completion.
Prerequisites:
Previous experience with peyote stitch, basic bead embroidery stitches, basic bead weaving.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, Fireline 6 lb. test, pen, reading glasses, scissors, tape measure, Pen-Touch fine point white paint marker (extra fine .7mm white, or equivalent).
Materials in Kit:
GemDuo beads; 2 mm rondelle beads; 13 mm, 15 mm glass cabochons; 2 mm fire-polished beads; 2 mm druk beads; Miyuki 8/0, 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; Miyuki Delicas; beading foundation; Ultrasuede; barrel clasp.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
