Additional Information
This 3-hour class is a great way to learn the basics of marble making. Frank will demonstrate how to make marbles, and discuss punties, best marble molds, safety, and basic design concepts. So, come join Frank and explore the world of marble making as you make three marbles. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to form a marble and refine the shape. Students will also learn about various types of punties and why the instructor uses the punties he will supply in class.
Beginner level experience on a dual-fuel torch is helpful.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Marble mold, didymium glasses, favorite lampworking tools, metal soup can.
Materials in Kit:
Stainless steel punties, glass rods.
One seat per person per class.
