Description:
Create a summer, spring, or autumn necklace right out of the forest! You will embroider two drop-shaped cabochons and hang them from a lovely branch finding. Embellish your leaves as much or as little as you choose. Add a dangle and some chain, and you have a fairy fantasy necklace.
Students will Learn:
Learn bead embroidery with peyote stitch, and finishing with spiked embellishment; some wirework involving link connections and a top-drilled dangle.
Prerequisites:
Basic wirework is helpful.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Beading mat, scissors, wire snips, task lamp.
Pliers:
Chainnose without grooves, roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Delicas; 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; bicones; Ultrasuede; interfacing; Fireline beading thread; 24-gauge wire; chain; clasp; glue; 2 cabochons; branch finding; 8 mm rondelles; drop bead; daisy spacers.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
