Description:
Create a versatile necklace offering multipurpose functionality from casual to classy elegance. Design your own piece for any occasion unfolding a different look simply by changing color and texture with Snap ‘N Swap components. This one-of-a-kind necklace uses the concept of shuffling, interchanging, and reconfiguring the removable disks and components snapped onto the original frame resulting in the creation of an elaborate jewelry piece with endless design possibilities.
Students will Learn:
Bead weaving techniques including embellished circular peyote stitch and bezeling of stones. Snap fixtures are used on each component enabling easy and quick assembly. A built-on adjustable clasp is incorporated in the design.
Prerequisites:
Students must be proficient in peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, awl, beading mat, beading thread, paper, pen, scissors, task lamp, zappers.
Materials in Kit:
11/0, 15/0 seed beads; 11/0 Delicas; 2 x 4 mm O-beads; rose montees; chaton montees; snaps.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
