Description:
Using dimensional bead embroidery, create a “beadle” that others will bug you to borrow! This little guy can be worn as a pin or pendant.
Students will Learn:
Create a variation of stump work with beads and fabric and add it to traditional bead embroidery techniques to create a 3-D beaded beetle.
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of capturing cabochons with peyote stitch and other basic bead embroidery stitches.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, beading thread, E6000 adhesive, flush-cut wire cutters, scissors, task lamp.
Pliers:
Roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Embroidery hoop, organza fabric, head pins, 20-gauge wire, seed beads, 3 mm accent beads, 6 mm focal beads, Pellon,Ultrasuede.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
