Description:
Learn how to achieve more reliable results with soldering projects. Students will understand how to work with multi temperature silver solder, and the differences between sweat and chip soldering.
Students will Learn:
This introductory class will help students implement the five strategic steps required for successful soldering; will become more comfortable with sweat soldering and chip soldering using a micro butane torch. Students will be able to practice soldering copper; sterling sheet/wire, jump rings, earring posts and custom chain ends. There is no formalized class project but students will have the opportunity to create a small project such as a pendant.

Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Hard plastic safety glasses. Instructor provides all tools required for class. Students needing vision enhancement are advised to bring a task lamp and/or visor with magnifiers.
Materials in Kit:
Copper sheet; sterling silver sheet, wire; copper wire; chocolate; multi-temp silver solder.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
