Description:
Weave your first project on a bead loom in this introductory class. Students will set up their looms, learn how to follow a pattern, and how to weave this quick bracelet with large hole beads. You will also learn how to finish the edges and add a clasp with leather ends. Students will be able to choose one of two color pathways for their bracelet.
Students will Learn:
This class is an introduction to weaving on a bead loom. It will begin with an overview of types of looms required for different projects, followed by demonstrations of warping methods. Students will warp their looms and learn to weave a fast bracelet project.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, scissors, tapestry needles. Optional: Magnification or lighting if you need them, Big Eye needles instead of #11 needles, 1 tapestry needle.
Materials in Kit:
Seed beads, warping thread, Wildfire beading thread, button, leather, instruction handout. The instructor will provide the bead looms for use in class but they will be available for purchase.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
