Additional Information
Each peyote beaded button is a jewel-like design, asking is it a button, brooch, pendant or artwork? This is a unique way to combine peyote stitch beadwork and function.
Students will Learn:
This class is an exploration of color, texture, and design worked in a peyote stitch on a Dritz button form. Students will be encouraged to create a design, step outside the box to try something new and not worry about mistakes that may become the best design element.
Previous experience with peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Assorted beading needles; beading mat; Fireline 8 lb. test; reading glasses; scissors; task lamp; center design bead; 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; any accent beads student would like to incorporate into their design (please see photo of class samples for beads and designs).
Materials in Kit:
Dritz button form, interfacing, batik foundation material.
One seat per person per class.
