Additional Information
Description:
Build and design your own 6 to 8-in. beaded doll while learning all the techniques from armature building to finishing. Each student will be given an instructional DVD to complement the class and for use after class.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to build a free-standing armature, then shape and cover body with material ready for beading; how to design doll’s clothing using a variety of bead stitches and beads.
Prerequisites:
Intermediate to advanced, must have a working knowledge of peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Assorted beading needles, assorted beads (seed beads, accent beads), beading mat, beading thread, Fireline 8 lb. and 10 lb. test, magnifiers, reading glasses, scissors, task lamp, work surface. Please see class photo for bead supplies and ideas.
Materials in Kit:
DVD (The Beaded Doll: A Primer), doll face, hands and feet, armature wire, sheet foam, cloth, thread, glue, lead fishing weights, Ultrasuede.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
