Description:
Use a combination of wire weaving and other wire techniques to create this fun bracelet. Students will be introduced to the basic weave and its variations. Techniques learned in this class are the basis for creating bracelets of many different widths and various designs.
Students will Learn:
Focus will be on learning basic weaves, as well as techniques for manipulating and shaping large-gauge wires.
Prerequisites:
It would be helpful to have some familiarity with wire weaving but it’s not required.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Flush wire cutters, ruler, blue painter’s masking tape, permanent marker, work mat. Recommended: Magnification, task light.
Pliers:
Chainnose, flatnose, roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Copper wire in 3 gauges, jump rings; use of instructor's tools, torches, etc.; illustrated color handout. Note: Upgrade from copper to silver will be available in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
