Description:
Explore the technique of applying color to metal using colored pencils. No matter what your drawing ability, you will be amazed with the results. You will be guided through the skills needed to make either earrings or a necklace of your choice. Come and enjoy metalwork and riveting -- Let’s Color It!
Students will Learn:
Learn the technique of applying color to metal using colored pencils. After deciding whether your goal is a necklace or earrings, you will be guided through metalworking and riveting techniques to complete the pieces.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Colored pencils (Prisma brand for best results), pencil sharpener, ultra-fine marker, earring wires or cord to complete piece. Optional: Instructor will bring a limited number of the following tools for the class to share: riveting hammer, bench block, block pad, hole punch for 14-gauge metal (1/16-in., 1.80 mm hole size- twist down type is best), emery board.
Materials in Kit:
Copper metal, prepared copper metal, jump rings, leather, Gesso, sandpaper, textured/antiqued metal, rivets.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
