Description:
The sculptural qualities of fine silver metal clay make it an excellent medium for setting glass in all shapes and sizes. Since the glass can be fired in place, the clay can be formed around it in organic and interesting ways, creating unique and fully integrated designs with ease. Suitable for relative beginners to advanced students, this class will cover best practices for forming clay with glass, firing and finishing metal clay with glass, and much more.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to create sculptural designs with metal clay and fused dichroic glass; how to fire and finish pieces that are composed of both metal clay and glass.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Instructor will provide all supplies in class for students to complete project.
Materials in Kit:
25g fine silver clay, fused dichroic glass cabochon of choice, consumables.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
