Description:
The Art Nouveau movement is known for its fluid lines and natural shapes. Metal clay is a perfect medium to use to explore creating designs in this genre. Students will learn how to form a variety of tapered and elegant coils in metal clay that will be combined with gemstones/and or fused glass to create your own unique designs with an Art Nouveau flair.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to create bezels for fireable stones and glass; how to create elegant designs with coils of silver clay; proper joining, embellishing, firing and finishing of metal clay with fire-in-place stones.
Prerequisites:
It would be helpful to have some experience with metal clay.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Instructor will provide all supplies for use in class for the project.
Materials in Kit:
25g fine silver metal clay, fireable CZ, accent CZ, consumables.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
