Description:
Use diagonal peyote stitch and beaded components to create this cuff, which resembles the beautiful yet elusive northern lights. You will have the opportunity to exercise your peyote skills, learn how to work around the clasp (or can complete as a bangle bracelet), and add glamorous sparkles of magical crystals, which are captured using a variety of pearls, seed beads, and SuperDuos.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to use diagonal peyote stitch to shape the body of any bracelet; how to transform it to make a bangle or create a clasp attachment. Students will also practice setting round crystals and forming unique beaded frames around them.
Prerequisites:
Previous experience with peyote stitch and right-angle weave.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, Fireline 6 lb. test, scissors, tape measure, task lamp.
Pliers:
Bentnose.
Materials in Kit:
3-6 mm Swarovski pearls; 2 mm fire-polished beads; slide-lock clasp; 12 mm rivolis and settings; Swarovski 3 mm bicones; 8/0, 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; 11/0 cylinder beads; SuperDuos; detailed instructions with professional pictures.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
