Description:
Create a sophisticated layered pendant with design details on two levels. Build riveted spacers using tubing and perfect your fabrication finesse – sawing, drilling, tube-setting, and bezel-building.
Students will Learn:
As you advance your skills, focus on the details for outstanding, professional results. Learn tips for easy tube-setting, achieving gorgeous patina, and getting the most glow out of flashy moonstone.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, bench pin, flush-cut wire cutters, jeweler's saw, metal ruler. 2/0 saw blades, nylon-head hammer, goldsmith’s or riveting hammer, ultra fine-tip Sharpie. Optional: #4 flat hand file, Optivisor or other magnification if needed.
Pliers:
Chainnose, flatnose standard.
Materials in Kit:
20-gauge sterling silver; 18-gauge sterling silver wire; sterling silver tubing, tube settings; faceted blue topaz gemstones; fine-silver bezel wire; 10 mm moonstone cabochon.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
