Description:
Who doesn’t have a plethora of treasures carefully gathered and curated, whether they’re lovely gemstones, beads, natural elements or humble found objects? Use Now That’s a Jig! to wrangle any of several capture styles -- from XGrip to HuggyMan -- and feature these precious elements as beautiful art jewelry around your neck or wrist or from your lobes in fabulous style!
Students will Learn:
Learn to analyze unique objects and choose a method of containment that will sturdily and aesthetically hold the piece as a wearable art-form. Then set up and wrangle the structure, while securely capturing the item on the Now That’s a Jig! system.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Ball-peen hammer, bench block, cutters, ruler, task lamp. Please bring an assortment of items that you would like to capture. Optional: Optics.
Pliers:
Bentnose, chainnose, flatnose standard, roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Dark annealed steel, NTaj! vellum pattern template(s), use of the Now That's a Jig! system in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
