Description:
This necklace marries a super-fine polygon stitched chain of 15/0 Charlottes with a deceptively easy chain using shaped beads. This shaped bead combo makes a beautiful beaded toggle closure and secure bezel for a big Swarovski rivoli.
Students will Learn:
How to make a supple and fine chain using a little known stitch named Polygon. Explore techniques that use peanut beads and drops to create a gorgeous chain, clever toggle, and focal pendant bezel.
Prerequisites:
Be proficient in at least one bead stitch such as peyote or right-angle weave. Ability to work with 15/0 seed beads.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#12, #13 beading needles; beading mat; Fireline 8 lb. test; reading glasses or magnifiers; scissors; task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
Swarovski 27 mm rivoli, drop beads, peanut beads, 15/0 Japanese seed beads, 15/0 Charlottes, pearlesque SilverSilk, Tulip cellulose head pin, #0000 knitting needle, illustrated instructions.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
