Description:
Inspired by a 15th century painting of Eleonora of Austria, this design consists of seven medallion shapes that are linked together with small beaded jump rings and beaded links. The combination of pearls, seed beads, and a great new shape, add interest as the necklace heads for a button and connector closure.
Students will Learn:
All of the components are started with a filled netting stitch, then head for a bit of right-angle weave and some embellishing techniques.
Prerequisites:
A basic understanding of netting.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Microcrystalline wax, scissors, task lamp, work surface, zappers.
Materials in Kit:
Swarovski 3 mm, 6 mm, 12mm crystal pearls; 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; 5 mm flat metal spacers; 2x6 mm Czech 2-hole bars; One-G thread; #12 beading needles; one plastic carrying case.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
