Etching metal can take your jewelry-making to the next level and using a saltwater etching technique takes away the hazards of other methods. Using rubber stamps, textured metals or your own drawings, you will etch metal and then create a pendant or a pair of earrings of your own design.
Students will Learn:
A number of different methods of creating designs on metal, from rubber stamps to hand drawing, and then learn an etching technique using saltwater. After creating your own unique pieces of etched metal, students will use their pieces to make earrings or a pendant using riveting techniques.
