If you’re looking to wear a little western flair, this is your bracelet. Using a variety of beads in various sizes in a loom bracelet is all the rage! Students will learn the secrets for mixing them successfully while weaving this quick but beautiful cuff.
Students will Learn:
How to set up their loom for mixed sized bead loom weaving; the basic bead loom stitch technique; how to choose which size of beads for each row; how to read a pattern; how to create selvedge for their leather attachment; how to complete the cuff with leather and a button.
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, Fireline 6 lb. test, magnifiers, ruler, scissors, tapestry needles, task lamp, Zap glue.
Chainnose without grooves.
Materials in Kit:
8/0, 11/0 seed beads; 3 mm, 4 mm fire-polished beads; warp thread, leather, button, instruction handout. The teacher will provide bead looms for use in class that will be available for purchase.
