What's the schedule for Bead&Button Show 2017?

Master and General Education Classes take place throughout the duration of the Bead&Button Show June 4 - June 11, 2017. See the Classes Tab for more information.

Special Events take place on June 6, June 9, and June 10. Preview Shopping for registered attendees is on June 8 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. See the About the Show Tab for complete details on Special Events.

The Marketplace Preview Shopping is open on June 8 for registered attendees and Wholesale Buyers. Public Shopping days in the Marketplace are June 9 - June 11. Entry into the Marketplace is $10. Admittance is limited to the room capacity at all times. See the Shopping Tab for more information.

Where is the Bead&Button Show held?

The Bead&Button Show takes place at the Wisconsin Center, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, and the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Master classes are held at the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Registration and check-in for classes is at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee at 7:30 a.m. from June 3 through June 6 at 7:30 a.m. Registration then moves to the Wisconsin Center on June 6 at 3:00 p.m. and remains at the Center through June 11.

What is the difference between all the types of classes at the Bead&Button Show?

Here is your guide to the class types:

General and Evening Classes take place June 4 – June 11. The Show offers a large number of general classes taught by well-known instructors showcasing a huge variety of techniques, skill levels, and price points. Classes take place at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, the Hilton Milwaukee Center and the Wisconsin Center. Visit the See All Classes Tab.


Master Classes take place from 9:00am – 5:00pm over the course of three or four days. These intensive, high-level classes are held at the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). See the Class tab for details.

What’s included in the Master Class price? Not only do you receive the following: Registration for the class, entry for all days into the Bead&Button Marketplace including Preview Shopping on Thursday, transportation to and from the MATC each day, breakfast and lunch on class days, entry to all Special Events, Bead&Button 2017 Commemorative Bead, Show tote, 2017 T-shirt, and early access to register for all the other Bead&Button classes.

How much does it cost to attend the Bead&Button Show?
The Registration Fee to order Classes is $35. The Marketplace is open on June 8 for Preview Shopping for registered attendees and Wholesale Buyers. If you are taking classes, you are a registered attendee. Public Shopping days in the Marketplace are June 9, June 10 and June 11. Entry into the Marketplace is $10 for all non-registered attendees.  Admittance is limited to the room capacity at all times. Who runs the Bead&Button Show?

The Bead&Button Show is produced by Kalmbach Publishing in Waukesha, WI. Kalmbach serves customers through a variety of media channels including books, events, magazines, television partnerships, and web sites. Kalmbach is made up of active enthusiasts, sharing passion for customers, products and services.

How do I register?

It is fast and easy to register online. Visit the Bead&Button Show site and click Shop Now. You can review class offerings, sorting by Date, Time, Technique, Skill Level, Teacher, Price and Class Type. You can also search by keyword. Click Add to Cart by the class you want and it will go directly into your shopping cart. When finished, click on Shopping Cart icon to complete your purchases. The payment site is secure.

NOTE: You will need to add a Badge Registration to your Shopping Cart before completing your purchase.

Pick up your Badge and Schedule the day your classes or events begin at the Registration Desk at the Bead&Button Show.
Will I receive a confirmation email for my registration?

You will receive a confirmation email when you purchase anything on the Bead&Button Show web site. This includes classes, special events, souvenirs and donations.

What forms of payment do you accept online?
VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Are there additional kit fees?
Kit fees are included in the price of the class. Bead&Button Show reimburses instructors for all kit fees.
Are there any other ways to register?

Onsite registration begins June 3 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee until 9:30 a.m. on June 7. Registration re-opens at the Wisconsin Center at 3:00pm.
What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel a General Class for a refund, you must do so before March 24, 2017. You must cancel the class in writing by email to customerservice@beadandbuttonshow.com, or by mail to Bead&Button Show, 21027 Crossroads Circle, PO Box 1612, Waukesha, WI 53187. Submit the title of the class, date and time of the class, and the price of the class to be cancelled. There is a $15 processing fee assessed for each class cancelled.

If you wish to cancel one class and change to another class, there is a $15 processing fee assessed for each class cancelled. Submit the title of the class, date and time of the class, and the price of the class to be cancelled. Then, please go to www.beadandbuttonshow.com and register for your new class. We cannot guarantee placement into the new class. You will receive a confirmation of the cancellation and, as possible, a confirmation of acceptance into the new class.

If you need to cancel a Master Class, you must do so in writing before March 1, 2017. There is a $100 cancellation fee.

There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations allowed after March 24, 2017.


How do I add or cancel classes?
Please refer to the cancellation policy.
If a class is full, can I be put on a waitlist?
There are no waitlists but you can check the web site regularly to see if additional seats or another class session has been added.
Can children attend the Bead&Button Show?
You must be at least 12 years of age to register for most classes. Some classes have a higher age requirement. Refer to the class listing for details. The Marketplace is open to all ages.
How do I sign up to be a Bead&Button Show Exhibitor?
Information and questions on exhibiting or wait listing for future shows should be directed to Linda Kollatz, Exhibitor Sales Specialist, or call 800-558-1544, ext. 540 for the most up-to-date booth availability.
How do I reserve a hotel room for the Bead&Button Show?

The Hyatt Regency Hotel Milwaukee and the Hilton Milwaukee Center each have available rooms for Bead&Button Show attendees. Visit the About the Show Tab and click on Travel Information to reserve your room.

How can I rent a scooter or wheelchair at the Show?

The Wisconsin Center does not rent scooters or wheelchairs. Show attendees should arrange a rental through On The Go Mobility before coming to Milwaukee.

Can I ship packages from the Show?

Both the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee and Hilton Milwaukee Center can help you arrange package shipments. At the Hyatt, go to the Business Center located in the first floor lobby area. At the Hilton, go to the lobby on the second floor and ask for Guest Services. If you are not a guest at the hotel, they will require a credit card to process your shipment.

What is the BeadDreams competition?

Each year, Bead&Button magazine sponsors BeadDreams, a juried competition of exceptional jewelry artistry from around the world. We display the accepted pieces at the Bead&Button Show and award ribbons in ten categories including a People’s Choice. Gift certificates are awarded to each of the top three winners in each category by the contest Sponsors.

What is the package check at the Show?

The package check and information area, located outside the Marketplace, is hosted by the Loose Bead Society of Greater Milwaukee. The Society members will check your packages for a nominal fee during regular Show hours.

Who is the Loose Bead Society?
The Loose Bead Society of Greater Milwaukee is a fellowship of kindred spirits that began in 1999. Their purpose is sharing and promoting the creation of beautiful beadwork. They take pleasure in their art and in each other's company and invite you to join them and do the same.

What and where are the beading kiosks?

Forget something? Last minute beads, tools, and class supplies may be purchased at the beading kiosks located on the second floor of the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee in the atrium area from June 4 through the morning of June 7.
