Kathy Luli has been creating with beads for many years. She started using beads in elaborate, historic crocheted doll costumes before discovering beadweaving. She still specializes in beaded ornament covers but also designs jewelry.
Kathy has been teaching Beadweaving for several years, including at the Bead&Button Show. She started at a shop in Columbus, Ohio, then later moved to Oklahoma where teaches Beadweaving at a local shop in MidWest City. Her classes include all levels of jewelry and ornaments.
Kathy’s award winning designs include several ribbons at the 2010, 2011, and 2013 Oklahoma State Fair. Her “Wagon Wheels” necklace was awarded Best of Show – Beadwork Division in 2011. She also won First Place in the Sova Enterprises Beaded Bead contest with “Green Goddess”. Examples of her work are available at the Oklahoma History Center Gift Shop.
