Eva Rushton is a bead artist known for elegant yet wearable designs. Her Molecules necklace design won first place in Potomac Bead Company's 2016 Design Challenge. Her Crystalline Crescent design placed third in a crescent bead challenge. Eva enjoys the challenge of mixing the new shaped beads with seed beads to form exciting new combinations. In addition to the structure of the piece, her color combinations are unique and won’t go unnoticed.
Eva has been teaching at her local bead stores for the past few years, but has taught everything from dance to video game programming since she was in high school. Her work as a video game designer has given her a unique perspective in creating art using an analytical approach.
Beading became an integral part of Eva’s life in 2000 when a friend gave her a handful of seed beads and a quick lesson on peyote stitch. She was hooked instantly and she has taught herself as many other stitches as she can find. She now enjoys making her own designs and patterns.
