Frank Scott and his wife, Judy (also a jewelry designer), ran an art gallery, Sign of the Unicorn, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for over 20 years. Naturally, glass was a major focus in their gallery and in Frank's life. His fascination with hot glass began at a Chicago ISGB open-torch session in the mid-1900's, and he's been on the torch ever since. Frank and Judy co-designed jewelry for their gallery featuring Frank's unique art beads and Judy's exquisite and detailed handwork. Frank's work has been in two major exhibitions: Metamorphosis, and Perspectives. He has also taught at the Peninsula School of Arts in Door County.
Frank is currently the Director of Aquatics at the Lake Geneva YMCA and has successfully coached swimming for many years. Teaching has always been an important part of his life and mission. Frank has learned from many of the early glass pioneers and looks forward to sharing that knowledge (and patience) with his students at the Bead&Button Show.
